Bankart Repair & Latarjet Surgery for Shoulder Dislocation (in Ahmedabad)

A shoulder that has dislocated once has a higher chance of dislocating again  especially in younger, active patients. Surgical stabilisation gives lasting relief and lets patients return to work, sport and daily life without the fear of the shoulder popping out. At Mitra Hospital in Ahmedabad, our shoulder specialists perform arthroscopic Bankart repair and the Latarjet procedure for recurrent shoulder dislocation and shoulder instability.

Our Shoulder Stabilisation Procedures

Arthroscopic Bankart Repair

Keyhole surgery to reattach the torn labrum (soft-tissue ring around the shoulder socket). Preferred for first- or second-time dislocators with limited bone loss.

Latarjet Procedure

Bone-block procedure that transfers a small piece of bone from the shoulder blade to the front of the shoulder socket, adding stability. Preferred when there is significant bone loss or when arthroscopic repair has failed.
