Who is This Service For?

Our Sports Injury Care Approach

1. Accurate Diagnosis

Detailed history, sport-specific examination and, where needed, in-house X-ray and MRI. The right diagnosis prevents the wrong treatment.

2. Non-Surgical First

Wherever appropriate, we start with focused physiotherapy, targeted exercises, activity modification, bracing and injection therapy. Many sports injuries never need surgery.

3. Arthroscopic Surgery When Needed

Keyhole surgery for meniscus tears, ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation and cartilage injuries minimising damage to healthy tissue.

4. Structured Return-to-Play Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation designed around your sport with phased strengthening, sport-specific drills and clearance criteria before you return to competition.

See a sports orthopaedic surgeon if you have joint or muscle pain that has not settled within 1–2 weeks of a sports injury, if there is significant swelling or bruising, if your knee is giving-way or locking, if you cannot bear weight, or if you cannot return to your sport. Early diagnosis often means simpler treatment and faster return-to-play.
Definitely not. Most sports injuries  sprains, mild strains, overuse tendon problems, minor ligament injuries  respond well to structured non-surgical care. Surgery is offered for specific injuries such as complete ACL tears in active patients, recurrent shoulder dislocation, large rotator cuff tears and complex fractures.
Return timelines depend entirely on the injury. A mild ankle sprain may allow return in 2–4 weeks; a hamstring strain 4–8 weeks; a meniscus trim 4–6 weeks; a rotator cuff repair around 5–6 months; and an ACL reconstruction around 9 months. Your surgeon and rehab team will define your specific timeline and readiness criteria.
Yes. Our rehabilitation approach includes sport-specific strength, balance, agility and functional testing before clearance to competitive sport  because returning too early is one of the biggest causes of re-injury.
